Owner Trained Assistance Dog Program
There are so many people that need well trained assistance dogs and do not know exactly about how to go about training the behaviors both at home and out in public.
This program may prepare you and your dog for the Public Access Test with great manners, trained tasks and a loving bond of mutual love and respect, the success of the dog/handler team is dependent on the humans commitment to training with clear consistent boundaries as well as the understanding that this is not something that can be achieved overnight and takes commitment and work.
Bee A Good Dog uses only science based, positive methods with your privately owned dog of any breed.
There is no guarantee that every dog can be trained to be an Assistance Dog out in the real world. Some dogs going through the program may not make it, however they can be a great Assistance Dog in the home.
This program focus on the canine/human bond, fundamental obedience skills, teaching task to the dog to help mitigate the humans disability.

How long does it take for you to help me train my dog?
Typically 2 years if starting from a puppy, 1 year or less if starting with an adult with solid foundations
What is the difference between an Assistance Dog and a Service Dog?
There really isn’t a different and can be used interchangeably.
Do you guarantee my dog and I will graduate?
Not all dogs can be trained to be Assistance Dogs, there are many variables.
Bee A Good Dog, LLC has an extensive evaluation process before admitting you and your dog into the program.
Some dogs do really well working at home or in class situations however, once the public access training begins, it is too much for that particular dog or the dog/handler team as a whole. These dogs are often graduated as skilled home companions and are able to assist their person very well in the home but are not granted public access rights
There are no guarantees in dog training handler commitment is key.
Do you train diabetic alert dogs?
Yes, this is a relatively simple task to train. Practice is key!
How much does it cost?
The yearly cost is $5000.00
If you prefer to pay monthly, the charge would be $450.00 per month.
This will be discussed at length during the initial assessment.
